We are looking to hire three one fulltime chef/cook from the middle of June until middle of august.

We have been running a summer business at Gällnö in the Stockholm Archipelago for over 10 years. During July, we have about 25 employees distributed among the different units such as bar, café, kitchen, shop and hostel. In those ten years they’ve had employees from all around the world.

The restaurant have a couple of hundred guests on a summer day. We work with largely vegetable based kitchen, a cold kitchen with salads, cheeses, charcuteries and a big charcoal bbq in the garden where we prepare meat, vegetables and in some cases fish. We prefer to work with high quality produce and simple cooking methods rather than advanced techniques.

Our season is short and intensive, so it is very important to be able to adapt quickly to the routines, working methods and recipes that already exist. The working tempo is high and days are long but the atmosphere is friendly and fun.

We have a high tempo therefore it is very important that you are quick and have a overview to be able to quickly see what needs to be done. We value that you have good knowledge and a solid experience of working with fresh vegetables and high quality meat.

One of the most important things for us is to have workplace where we show respect to each other. You will work together with young people who sometimes have their first job, therefore it is particularly important that you have patience and in a pedagogical way is prepared to pass on your knowledge.

A large part of the team is aged around 20-35 and lives and works together throughout the summer, therefor it is equally important that, in addition to the you enjoy working in kitchens, that you also like to live and socialize with like-minded people. We provide accommodation, all meals and lots of fun staff activities!
